Mawie’s Point of Views: Tips for Wedding.

Mawie’s Point of Views: Tips for Wedding.

1 Get ready in a space with plenty of Natural Lights
This is THE most important thing you can do to ensure beautiful getting ready images. Natural light is KEY! A room with several windows makes for beautiful, flattering, well-lit photos. If you are having your hair and makeup done in your room, your beauty team will love this too! Lots of natural light will allow your makeup artist to perfectly match your foundation with your skin tone.

2 Choose a spacious room
Remember, your room will be full! …Your hair/makeup team, photographer, bridesmaids, Groomsmen will be there! Choose a space with plenty of seating and floor space so that everyone will feel cozy and relaxed.

3 Don’t Forget about your Bridesmaids
We want you to look gorgeous in your getting ready photos, and the same goes for your lovely ladies. Your bridesmaids, and (of course) your mother and father have to be “camera ready” when we arrive. This way, they’ll be fully dressed in the photos and will have time to help you get into your dress, put on your veil, and help with any last-minute details.

4 Don’t Forget the Guys
The prep photos of your groom and his groomsmen aren’t nearly as involved, we still have a few suggestions for the guys! Their room should also be well-lit, spacious, and clean. The groomsmen should be fully dressed when we arrive, and the groom should be mostly dressed with the exception of his jacket, boutonniere, shoes, and tie. Another quick tip for the guys — empty your pockets! Cell phones, keys, and wallets make for unflattering, bulging pockets in photos.

5 Keep your room clean
With so many details and people to focus on, this one is more challenging than it sounds.  We suggest designating one or two people ahead of time to be in charge of keeping your room clean and “photo ready.” Ask them to throw away trash, hang extra clothes, hide suitcases under beds, etc. If all else fails, we will do a quick clean up job when we arrive (we ARE a full-service photography team, after all!) but keeping things as organized as possible before we arrive will allow us more time to photograph you, your bridesmaids, Groomsmen and all of the getting-ready-loveliness of your day

6 Have Fun
The getting ready shots are about the details, sure. But really, they’re about the candid moments and the emotion of the day. Relax, enjoy yourself, and try to pretend we aren’t there… We’ll take care of the rest! Don’t sweat the small stuff. Allow yourself to FEEL the excitement and anticipation. We are going to capture it all so that you can relive those moments again and again.

Tips For Prenuptial

1 Find a Venue
Most often than not it is the couple who tells the photographer where they want to have their prenuptial unless they don't have any idea. Your photographer can also suggest places where he had photo sessions before depending on your preference or theme. Securing the venue will be your responsibility. It would be nice if your venue will complement your theme. Most couples these days want to make full use of the service of their photographer so they go around the metro for the prenuptial. Some photographers/studios won't specify in their contract that you are limited to 1 or 2 venues for your prenuptial. It is best to check with them first before you plan out your schedule.

2 Theme that you love.
Are you following a certain theme or anything goes? If with a theme, you might need props to compliment your attire and venue.

3 Weather
If it's raining, do you have a backup plan? If it's too sunny, be sure to have an umbrella, a face towel to wipe your sweat off or extra shirts. You do not want to be sweating like a pig during your prenuptial. Oh! And bring water!

4 Attire
Bring 3 sets. Preferably something casual, formal, dressy or according to your theme. It would be nice if you can bring a friend to help you when you change clothes.

5 Permits
Some places/venues would require permits and some don't. Some would charge you as low as Php 50.00 (just to cover the entrance fee) and others will charge you as high as Php 10,000.00. You will have to pay and secure the permit, not your supplier.

6 Foods
Everyone is happy when they're not hungry so when you go out for your prenuptial session be ready to provide snacks, lunch or dinner. Your photographer might even go the extra mile if you take care of them (like no extra charge for an extension, more pics or more venues).

7 Transportation
Some Photographers or Hair and Makeup Artists will bring their own car while others don't. Check with them first so that you know if you can just give them a transportation allowance or you can pick them up from their studio. Just to remind you as well, you have to bring them back to the studio after the shoot. More and more couples are going out of town for their prenuptial. If you're one of them, please be prepared to shoulder the cost of transportation, food, and accommodation (if applicable) of the people coming with you. Take note that there are some Photographers and Makeup Artists who will also charge extra for an out of town shoot.

8 Have Fun
Relax, enjoy yourself, and try to pretend we aren’t there… We’ll take care of the rest! Don’t sweat the small stuff. Allow yourself to FEEL the excitement and anticipation. We are going to capture it all so that you can relive those moments again and again.
